Royal Plantation Ocho Rios Named to Virtuoso Preferred List

Virtuoso added the 74-suite Royal Plantation Ocho Rios in Jamaica to its preferred list. The resort also is a member of the Leading Small Hotels of the World.
The property joins an elite group in the Caribbean that includes the Abaco Club at Winding Bay, a Ritz-Carlton managed property in the Bahamas; Cap Juluca in Anguilla; Half Moon in Jamaica; Sandy Lane in Barbados; and Parrot Cay in the Turks and Caicos.
Royal Plantation launched a multi-million-dollar renovation and restoration project in 2001, spearheaded and led by managing director Jaime Stewart.
Facilities at the resort include a Red Lane Spa, beach butlers, and an artists-in-residence program where guests are taught painting, cigar rolling and Jamaican cooking and cuisine.
