Royal Caribbean International said nearly 10,000 travel agents registered for the May 13 All Access Expo, a virtual trade show that featured company executives via live video sessions and the latest sales resources and information.

The event, which Performance Media Group, parent of TravelPulse.com, helped to develop, also featured booths, career development workshops -- for which travel agents earned two CLIA credits for participating -- and a number of giveaways and prizes, including staterooms aboard an Allure of the Seas’ pre-inaugural cruise, as well as the announcement of a special two-day WOW Sale, offering reduced deposits and up to $200 onboard credit per stateroom on all sailings after Sept. 1.

“We thank everyone for joining us and we appreciate the feedback we received from all of our valued travel agents partners at the 2010 All Access Expo,” said Vicki Freed, senior vice president of sales, trade support and services for Royal Caribbean. “It is particularly nice that we can bridge distances and share a fun, informative and rewarding program with all of our travel agent partners. This is one of the many ways in which we support travel agents as part of our commitment to help them sell more cruises, increase profits and grow their business.”

One of the highlights was the announcement of the two-day WOW Sale during the Royal Talks Live Session with Freed and Ken Muskat, Royal Caribbean’s vice president of sales, who also hosted a video edition of his online radio talk show, “Why Not Talk Cruise.” The two-day WOW Sale offers onboard credits and 50 percent reduced deposit for all Royal Caribbean cruises sailing on or after Sept. 1 for all new bookings made on May 18 and May 19.

The offer is even applicable towards cruises on the Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, which begins service Dec. 1. Also, guests who book their cruise during the two-day WOW Sale will receive a $50 onboard credit per stateroom on three- to six-night sailings, $100 for six- to nine-night sailings, and $200 for cruises longer than 10 nights.

It was also announced that three new exclusive Cozumel shore excursions are now exclusively available to guests of Oasis of the Seas, one of which kicks off a new series of “voluntourism” options developed in partnership with the Mexican chapter of the Red Cross. The 2010 All Access Expo will be available on-demand at www.RoyalCaribbeanVirtualExpo.com for 90 days.
