Riviera Holdings Appoints Phillip Simons as CFO

Riviera Holdings has appointed Phillip Simons as chief financial officer and treasurer. Simons will also serve as CFO, treasurer and vice president of finance of Riviera Operating Corporation.

Since 1996, Simons has been responsible for the finance divisions at various large resorts and casinos. Most recently, he was vice president of finance for Wheeling Island Gaming, a casino owned by Delaware North Gaming and Entertainment in Wheeling, W.V.

Prior to that, he held top finance positions at the El Conquistador Resort & Casino of Puerto Rico, the Radisson Aruba Resort & Casino the Resort at Squaw Creek at Lake Tahoe, Calif., the Vail Cascade Resort in Colorado, and the Villa Del Palmar Resort and Spa of Mexico.
