Ritz-Carlton Plans Cayman Golf Course

The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman is raising the standard of Caribbean golf with plans for the North Sound Club. When completed, the Club will offer a wealth of new and unique opportunities to live, work and play on one of the Caribbean’s most treasured islands.

Greg Norman and Great Shark Enterprises, which designed and developed the resort’s existing nine-hole Blue Tip course, have signed on to re-conceptualize the existing Safe Haven course adjacent to the property, merging it with the Ritz-Carlton’s 9-hole Blue Tip to create a championship, tournament-level 18-hole course with a full range of complementary facilities.

Expected to be the most expensive golf course project in Cayman Island history, plans for the North Sound Club call for the redesign of the existing 18-hole Safe Haven course as a nine-hole addition to the Blue Tip resulting in a championship layout on a par with the finest and most challenging courses in the world.

In addition, there will be new practice facilities and a putting course, a new club house with pro shop and new dining opportunities. A variety of private primary and vacation home ownership opportunities is also a part of the plan.
