With Renewed Fleet, Aeromexico Hopes to Catch 32 Percent of Intercontinental Flights

Aeromexico is planning to raise its offer of intercontinental flights by as much as 32 percent in the first quarter of 2006 with the addition of two brand-new Boeing 777-200 ER jetliners.

In all, the Mexican carrier has bought sixteen Boeing aircraft over the past couple of years and the two newcomers will eventually round out the company´s fleet.

The addition of the Boeing airliners will allow Aeromexico to jack up average seat occupancy by 18 percent, let alone raise flight hours for each plane by 13 percent and save fuel galore.

The Mexican air company has also managed to slash service and maintenance time by a whopping 78 percent, reduce the volume cancelled operations by 57 percent and cut costs by 22 percent.
