REDjet Launches Seventh Intra-Caribbean Route

REDjet, the new low-cost airline operating in the Caribbean, launched its seventh route last week, a twice-weekly (Friday and Sunday) service between Bridgetown (BGI) in Barbados and St Lucia Hewanorra (UVF) using MD80s.

While there is no direct competition on the route, LIAT indirectly competes with its five daily flights between Barbados and St Lucia Vigie Airport. Having launched seven routes in 2011, the airline is looking at launching a further seven to eight routes in 2012.
