Record Number of Agents Participate in CLIA Training Programs
The Cruise Lines International Association is on track to deliver more than 65,000 training events this year, a 38 percent increase over 2006. CLIA said that the number sets a record in training programs delivered to agents enabling them to earn CLIA Certification credits.
“We are extremely happy with the strong demand for our training programs this year,” said Terry Dale, CLIA’s president and CEO.
CLIA training in the U.S. and Canada includes classroom training, online courses, video courses, CLIA textbooks, conference seminars, Training Fest and Seminars at Sea.
According to CLIA, agents who have earned their CLIA Cruise Counselor Certification have reported an increase in annual sales productivity by 261 percent.
