Punta Cana Airport Opens Second Terminal
Punta Cana Airport in the Dominican Republic has opened its second terminal, which can accommodate 6,500 passengers daily.
The new Terminal B has two passenger levels and a third level for offices, 50 check-in counters, nine departure gates and an air-conditioned concourse with seven jet bridges.
Passenger amenities include a food court, a VIP lounge, duty-free stores, a champagne bar, a kids' playground, and access to WiFi and recharging stations in several areas.
The airport is the second-largest in the Caribbean and handles 60% of all tourists visiting the Dominican Republic. It is 10 minutes from Puntacana Resort & Club, but is designed so that aircraft noise and traffic do not disturb resort guests.
