Prince George's County Hotel Receives AAA 2015 Four Diamond Award

Among the handful of Maryland hotels earning AAA Four Diamond status this year is Prince George’s County’s Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, 201 Waterfront St. at National Harbor. Out of more than 29,000 hotels that apply, only 5.3 percent of them receive the honor.

“The AAA Four Diamond awards recognize the inherent quality of Maryland’s hospitality industry and the high levels of customer satisfaction it provides,” Margot A. Amelia, executive director with the Maryland Office of Tourism, said in a news release.

There are 65 AAA trained professional evaluators that inspect 60,000 establishments in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean to decide who receives the awards.

The Four Diamond award goes to hotels and restaurants that meet the criteria on cleanliness, ambiance, amenities and service. The awarded establishments will be featured in the 2015 AAA TourBook guides in print as well as on AAA’s website.
