Partagas Celebrates Its 160th Anniversary during International Habano Festival

Partagas, one of Cuba´s oldest cigar factory and brands, is celebrating Thursday its 160th anniversary at the height of the 7th International Habano Festival, that has gathered 1,300 businessmen and cigar lovers from 56 countries in Havana.

As part of the event schedule, Festival participants have toured the Partagas factory, where the famous cigars are rolled.

The factory, located behind Havana´s National Capitol, was founded in 1845 by Jaime Partagas, and since then, it has been manufacturing one of Cuba´s most celebrated and known cigars, which are now distributed around the world by Habanos S.A.

This time around, Partagas will present two new brands: Partagas Reserve and the Partagas Series P number 2, with an attractive box conceived in the form of a suggestive pyramid.

The festival´s agenda also includes trade fairs, seminars, masterly classes of hand rolled cigars, cigar-tasting, auctions and visits to tobacco plantations and drying facilities.
