The Alberto Delgado Hotel & Tourism School in the central province of Villa Clara is getting set to accommodate more than 400 youngsters who should join the ranks of Cuba’s hospitality industry in that region where the ever-growing number of tourism investments is demanding a workforce of approximately 3,000 well-trained employees.

Divided in 35 groups and slotted in different specialties, the new students will get basic know-how to become waiters and bartenders, marketing officials, desk clerks, cooks and entertainers, mostly in an effort to meet Gaviota Co.’s needs.

As many as 11,000 students have graduated from the Villa Clara Tourism School since its foundation back in 1995. Its contribution to the local travel industry –highlighted by the keys of Jardines del Rey and other quality options that the province has to offer- has been paramount ever since.
