Over 300 Attendants in Bulgaria’s Vacation & Spa Tourism Expo
More than 300 participants joined the 24th edition of the Vacation and Spa tourism expo in the capital of Sofia.
The tradeshow opened on February 22 in the National Palace of Culture, giving representatives of more than 15 countries a chance to seek partnership with Bulgarian tourism companies.
Anelia Kroushkova, Head of the State Agency for Tourism (SAT) said that such exhibitions are essential for the development of Bulgarian tourism.
Mrs. Kroushkova said as quoted by Focus news agency that the positive trends Bulgaria’s tourism observed in 2006 will go on in 2007. More than five million tourists visited Bulgaria in 2006 and the revenue exceeded two billion leva.
Participants in the Vacation and Spa expo include companies, tourism agencies, organizations and municipalities. The expo present specialized spa centers, complexes and resorts.
Various international companies are taking part as well. Among them are participants from Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, Tunis, Thailand and Egypt.
