Oceania Cruises Names Drew SVP-Business Development

Jeff Drew, the well-known sales executive with Oceania Cruises, has taken on a new role with the company. Drew, who has been serving as senior vice president of sales, is assuming the new role of senior vice president-business development. He will be working with Oceania’s sales team in the field and at headquarters level on cultivating new business and growing awareness of the cruise line’s brand.

Drew will conduct agent seminars with regional sales directors, co-host webinars with business development managers. He also will represent Oceania at national and regional trade shows. In addition, he will host a series of regional events for past guests as well as Oceania’s annual reunion cruise.

Meanwhile, Michael Hirsch, who had the same title as Drew, will continue as senior vice president of sales, overseeing inside sales, group sales and sales administration functions. Oceania also has created a new post, vice president of field sales, and a search is now under way to fill that job. The new post will incorporate some of the day-to-day responsibilities that Drew formerly handled.
