The Niche Cruise Marketing Alliance has upgraded its website at www.nichecruise.com to make it more user-friendly to both consumers and travel agents. Among the new features are downloadable profiles and videos of the eight member lines and a feature that will provide up-to-date listings of media coverage of the member lines. In addition, the website allows consumers to locate a travel agent specializing in niche cruises.
On the website, each member line is supported with a brief description of the type of product they offer, but it also has contact information and links to the websites. Visitors to the website can enter their ZIP code and find Niche Cruise Specialists -- travel agents who have completed the NCMA training seminar -- close to their home. Niche Cruise Specialists can also be located by entering the agent or agency name or the name of city where the agency is located.
Using the Destination Map feature, visitors can click on the part of the world they would like to explore and the site will show them which cruise lines sail to that location. NCMA member lines include American Cruise Lines, Cruceros Australis, Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, Galapagos Explorer II, Hurtigruten, Imperial River Cruises, Louis Cruises and Star Clippers.
