Nicaraguan travel guides trained in Protected Areas

The First Course of Travel Guides Specialized in Protected Areas came to a successful close in El Castillo (The Castle) in the southern Nicaraguan province of Rio San Juan.

A bunch of sixteen tourist guides was certified as experts in Protected Areas by the Nicaraguan Tourism Institute and the ARAUCARIA Project endorsed by the country’s Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources.

The training of this dozen and a half travel guides will include knowledge in culture, history, traditions, folklore, music, flora and wildlife. In addition, the graduates will get first aid and animation know-how.
