New Seasonal Flights Ready to Land in St. Kitts

Miami Air and Platinum Charters will soon be operating several flights into St Kitts during the ongoing winter season.

St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Denzil Douglas, speaking at a ceremony to sign the Agreement for the expansion of the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport last week, said he has been advised by the new Airport Manager, Mr. Denzil Jones, that with the start of the tourist season, several carriers, including US Airways and American Airlines, will also increase scheduled service to St. Kitts.

Mr. Douglas disclosed that Miami Air begins weekly charters into St. Kitts from Miami on December 12th until March 2006, while Platinum Charters will operate a couple of weekly flights on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Dr. Douglas said Excel Airways will continue its scheduled Gatwick-London flight to St. Kitts arriving on Saturday afternoon and regular charters by PANAM and the occasional BWIA charters will operate on demand.

LIAT, WINAIR, Caribbean Sun and Caribbean Star are expected to increase flights into St. Kitts, especially during the Carnival Season. Airport officials also anticipate an increase in the arrival of corporate jets.
