New Havana-Managua Air Route Opens
Nicaragua’s Tourism Minister Mario Salinas Pasos, in an exclusive interview for CND, announced the start of regular operations by Air Nicaragua beginning in July and featuring three weekly flights between that Central American nation’s capital and Havana.
In his opinion, this is meant to be a major step forward in the efforts to increase the exchange of experiences between the two nations, chiefly among travel industry professionals.
He explained that in the past the two nations made progress in piecing together multidestination trips, plans that continue to make headway.
In this respect, he also said that “Cuba and Nicaragua deliver very interesting, world-class offers because they are destinations that complement each other.”
He underscored Nicaragua’s tourist proposals for nature travelers, as well as the tremendous infrastructure colonial cities are fitted out with and the cultural wealth of his nation, featuring high-quality handicrafts –by far major allures for visitors- let alone traditional dancing and music.
Salinas Pasos said that his homeland’s tourism is mostly shored up by the hospitality and kindheartedness of the people, as well as security and safety. “Those are the two most precious treasures tourists recognize when they visit our destinations,” he went on to say.
