New Guidebook On Chile Travel Hits American Bookstores

The practical guidebook published by Whereabouts Press is an anthology divided in geographical zones and texts written by Pablo Neruda, Jose Donoso, Hernan Rivera, Roberto Ampuero, Pedro Lemebel and Francisco Coloane.

The book is part of a collection that has provided travel tips on such other places as Prague, Cuba, Spain, Australia, Greece, Israel, Vietnam and Costa Rica.

The new traveler’s companion contains an anthology of some of the finest Chilean authors, broken down in three sections: North, Central and South.

The volume’s back cover features a couple of quotations, one of them penned by writer Isabel Allende: “For those planning to travel to Chile by plane or through the imagination, this is a wonderful guidebook into a country, its culture and its people.”

“This is a great evocation brilliantly executed,” reads the second quotation authored by Antonio Skarmeta, for whom in the book “Chile comes out as a seductive and exciting destination, an irresistible invitation to splash into adventure.”
