Cunard Line created an online course for travel agents to learn more about its upcoming ship, the Queen Victoria, through its Cunard Academy online sales training Web site, Cunard said. The course, at www.onesourcecruises.com, featured a detailed overview of the new ship which was set to debut in December, and then a short quiz.

“The Queen Victoria course empowers agents with all the information they need to sell Cunard’s next luxury ocean liner,” said Carol Marlow, president and managing director of Cunard Line.

“There are so many features that distinguish this ship in the complex cruise marketplace. With this course, agents can immediately discern the ship’s unique accommodations and venues to begin identifying and selling to future Queen Victoria guests.”

The course began with an overview of Cunard’s place in maritime history and then highlights of the Queen Victoria’s features, Cunard said. Like the other Cunard Academy courses, agents could bookmark their progress and return to the course at their leisure.

Participating agents who completed the Queen Victoria course by January 8 entered to win a trip to Beverly Hills, California, to attend a Hollywood award’s show after party.
