Nevis Tourism Minister Applauds Nisbet Plantation Beach Club for Another Top Award

Deputy Premier of Nevis and Minister of Tourism Hon. Mark Brantley applauded the Nisbet Plantation Beach Club for its latest internationally-recognized award by acclaimed magazine Travel + Leisure in its August 2014 issue.

Minister Brantley’s commendation came on July 09, 2014, on the heels of an announcement by the magazine that the Nisbet Plantation Bleach Club, situated on the north-east cost of Nevis, was ranked No. 6 in the World’s Best Awards reader’s survey. The 36-room resort was the only one in St. Kitts and Nevis awarded in that category.
     
“We are told that they are ranked No. 6 in Travel + Leisure’s Best in the Caribbean and Latin America and I would want to congratulate them. I have done that privately already. I would like to publicly congratulate them.
     
Nisbet Plantation has been doing phenomenally well over the years in terms of these awards. I think that there is no doubt that it is one of the top properties in the world and Nevis boasts some of the top properties in the world and in the region,” he said.
     
Mr. Brantley described the recognition as an important one which reiterated why Nevis was a high-end tourist destination and the quality of service offered.
     
In the meantime, a press statement from the hotel’s public relations agent MP&A Digital & Design, said 2014 was the fifth consecutive year that the resort was honored among the Top Hotels in the World and Top Resorts in the Caribbean by the Travel + Leisure magazine.
     
The release quoted the resort’s General Manager Alistair Forrest as saying that the accolade was an honor and testament to the commitment of the staff. The release also noted that the resort was also listed among the Top 100 Hotels in the World and with its cottage-style accommodations, gourmet dining and attentive service, Nisbet Plantation scored high marks with the magazine’s affluent readers and got an overall score of 92.71.
     
The Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards were based on the magazine’s annual World’s Best survey in which thousands of readers share their opinion of their favorite travel providers and experiences. In the 19th annual survey, readers rated hotels based on room and facilities, location, service, restaurants and food and value.
