Nassau Paradise Island Gets New Airlift

New, daily nonstop flights have been announced to the popular Bahamas beach destination Nassau Paradise Island. The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) 30th annual Caribbean Marketplace is currently underway at the Atlantis Resort, with hundreds of delegates meeting for business.

JetBlue Airways and Delta Air Lines are among the latest airlines to increase their services to Nassau Paradise Island.

JetBlue Airways recently launched daily, nonstop flight service from Westchester County Airport (HPN) to Nassau’s Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS), serving area residents from Westchester and Fairfield Counties and beyond.

The three-hour flight, which began just in time for the holiday season, is the first international service ever offered out of Westchester County.  The flight departs Westchester at 8:09 a.m. and arrives in Nassau at 11:11 a.m.  Return service departs Nassau at 12:09 p.m., arriving in Westchester at 3:04 p.m.

For those looking ahead to spring travel, Delta Air Lines recently announced new, daily nonstop service from LaGuardia Airport to commence March 2, 2012.  New York City area residents will enjoy another convenient option to Nassau Paradise Island with this flight, which will depart LaGuardia at 9:00 a.m. and arrive in Nassau at 12:24 p.m.  Return service will depart Nassau at 2:05 pm, arriving at LaGuardia at 5:12 p.m.
