More layoffs at BA

British Airways announced plans Wednesday to slash 3,000 to 4,000 jobs in the next couple of years in an effort to cut down as many as 435 million euros in operational costs.

The British air carried, that had already furloughed some 12,500 employees after 2001, had not disclosed the exact number of layoffs until now, London newspaper The Times reported Monday.
