Montserrat Appoints New Tourism Minister

The Caribbean island of Montserrat has a new minister with responsibility for tourism, with the swearing in of Dr. Lowell Lewis on June 2.
Dr. Lewis, who is also Chief Minister, will oversee all the Montserrat Tourist Board´s marketing and product development initiatives, as the island continues to rekindle its tourism sector.
Educated in Montserrat and the UK, Dr. Lewis is a specialist surgeon in the field of dialysis and renal transplants.
He holds a degree in medicine and surgery from the Sheffield University Medical School in the United Kingdom and gained Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1982.
