Monterey County CVB Names John Reyes as President, CEO

The Monterey County Convention and Visitors Bureau (MCCVB) has appointed John Reyes as president and CEO, effective April 5. Mr. Reyes will be responsible for a staff of 26, reporting to a 25-member board of directors, an executive committee, nine jurisdictions and six sub-committees, with a $4.7 million annual budget.

Mr. Reyes has been in the hospitality industry since 1982. Prior to Monterey, he was president and CEO of the Jacksonville & the Beaches Convention & Visitors Bureau in Jacksonville, Fla., where he planned and implemented the “Jacksonville where Florida Begins” campaign.

His previous work experience includes more than 18 years at the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau, where he held several positions, including national sales manager, director of travel industry sales, associate vice president of sales, and vice president of sales.
