Microsoft Launches Windows XP Theme To Promote Indian Tourism

Microsoft India, in collaboration with India´s Tourism Ministry, has introduced an exclusive Windows XP desktop theme that features the Incredible India campaign.

The freely downloadable theme pack was consciously launched on Tuesday to coincide with the World Tourism Day, a Microsoft statement said here on Wednesday.

“It (theme) captures the colours of India in its various forms and provides the platform to millions of Windows XP users to experience the ´Incredible India´ on their desktop,” Director Public Sector Microsoft India Rohit Kumar said.

The pack includes a range of features created specially for India including rich background images, system sounds, screen saver and local icons, the release said.
