Mexico’s Villa Del Palmar Names Paul Moreno General Manager

The Villa Group Resorts Collection appointed Paul Moreno as general manager and director of operations of Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto, on the Baja Peninsula. In this position, Moreno will oversee pre-opening stages and post-opening operations at the five-star Mexico resort, which will start welcoming guests in early 2011.

With previous experience working for the Villa Group Resort Collection as vice president of operations at Villa del Palmar Puerto Vallarta from 1998 to 2003, Moreno has returned to the company in a new role. Most recently, Moreno served as vice president of operations at Bajamex Commercial Real Estate and Consulting, where he oversaw a 61-unit luxury hotel boutique with a fractional ownership and a 41-unit hotel boutique and timeshare.

Moreno previously served as vice president of operations for Logan Hotels and Resorts in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and as general manager and managing director of the Grand Baja Resort and Spa in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico.

He holds a bachelor of science degree in hotel and restaurant management from the Hotel School of Nice. Moreno is fluent in Spanish, French and English and also speaks conversational Indonesian, Malay, Portuguese and Italian.
