Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit Features New Tour Packages
Tour operators are taking advantage of the Riviera Nayarit’s position in Mexico as an eco-destination with packages. Funjet, for instance, is offering a four-night nature and adventure package that includes accommodations at the Occidental Allegro with an all-inclusive meal plan, as well as a canopy tour above the tropical forests of the Sierra Madre Mountains.
NWA WorldVacations features a lineup of optional tours in Riviera Nayarit. For example, a package that includes roundtrip airfare and four nights of all-inclusive accommodations at Samba Vallarta, by Pueblo Bonito, starts at $735 per person, double.
An all-inclusive option at Vallarta Palace with the Palace Passport promotion features unlimited select tours, including horseback riding, a sunset cruise, a visit to Sea Life Park, and a city tour of neighboring Puerto Vallarta. During some travel dates, when clients stay seven nights, they also will receive a complimentary swim with dolphins.
Meanwhile, highlights of local nature tours include a tour of San Blas from Banderas Bay Tours & Travel that features guided birdwatching on a boat trip through wetlands, a visit to the Crocodile Reserve in El Manantial of La Camelota, and a tour of the colonial and fishing villages of San Blas.
Vallarta Adventures’ Whale Watching Tours are available December through March each year, with a variety of options that are appropriate for all ages and physical abilities, including packages that feature cruising and sailing among whales, as well as snorkeling and kayaking options.
Vallarta Adventures also offers ATV safaris in the Sierra Madre Mountains via specially designed Mercedes-Benz all-terrain vehicles. The tour goes through historic towns with stops to interact with the locals and winds through scenery, fruit orchards and forests.
