Mexico´s Cancun Delivers Tax-Free MICE Programs

Cancun is now offering state-of-the-art meeting and group facilities, tax-free. Meeting planners and guests involved in conventions, fairs, exhibitions and large meetings can enjoy Cancun´s tax-free incentive, exempting events from the usual 10 percent tax on beverages, meals, accommodations, entertainment and event services.

The plan also includes registration, masters of ceremonies, translators, hosts, audiovisual equipment, decorations, security, cleaning, transportation and other related services contracted for the entire event, plus up to two nights before and after the event.

Known as Mexico´s premier beach destination for meetings, groups and conventions, the city´s 154,000 square foot convention center, the Cancun Center, is located within the heart of the region´s popular hotel zone, only 15 minutes away from the Cancun International Airport.

The Center´s facilities can accommodate up to 8,000 people and is surrounded by more than 4,000 rooms within walking distance, as well as a wide variety of restaurants, shops, nautical activities, nightlife and more.
