Mexicana and Lufthansa Go on Codeshare

German airline Lufthansa and Mexicana de Aviacion agreed to operate codeshare flights, to actively engage in frequent flyer programs in a mutually beneficial way, to offer access to their respective VIP halls at a number of terminals and to use unified documentation.

The agreement, that goes back to 1998 and was recently ratified in Frankfurt, will help increase traffic flows on a steady basis and, consequently, raise the number of tourists and business travelers that visit Mexican and European destinations, let alone an increasingly higher economic interdependence for both air carriers.
