Mexican Tour-operators Promote Cuba as Tourist Destination
Mexican tour operators are promoting Cuba as a tourist destination hoping to send 100,000 tourists to the Caribbean archipelago in 2008, which would represent a significant increase compared to the previous year.
According to Granma news daily, in order to achieve this goal, the office of the Cuban Tourism Ministry in Mexico is organizing actions that include promotional television spots in prime-time hours.
The initiative also includes offers related to the Cuban tourist products such as its nature, the hospitality of the Cuban people and the diverse tourist attractions in Havana City and in the Varadero beach resort.
Other destinations of the Cuban archipelago being promoted are Cayo Santa Maria, Cayo Coco and Cayo Largo.
