Mexican Caribbean Resort Promotes Cultural Tourism

In order to boost cultural tourism during low season the Hacienda Tres Ríos Resort will host the First Mayan/Tibetan Cultural Encounter with the objective of analyzing the relationship that exists between these two ancient cultures which share deeply rooted values related to the preservation of life and our connection to nature.

This unprecedented event will take place at the luxury eco resort Hacienda Tres Ríos September 8-11, 2011 and will be promoted using social networks, travel agencies and the media. Attractive vacation packages are being offered in order to attract as many national and foreign visitors as possible.

This grand encounter will include participants from both cultures, including the group Mystic Arts of Tibet, the Tibetan Monks of the Drepung Loseling Monestary, Richard Gere Productions, Arte Maya Productions and Mary Coba Cupul.

For 3 days, participants will learn about the mysteries of both cultures and the ancient techniques used to gain spiritual peace and purification. This unique experience will change the way we see the world, fill us with harmony and help us to learn more about ourselves.

This cultural experience includes conferences, native Mayan music, sacred healing dances, a Tibetan photo exhibition, meditation and psychology workshops, Tibetan and Mayan art, the ancient Mayan ritual Temazcal and the amazingly detailed construction of a Mandala, a process that typically takes 3 to 7 days.

The activities include a prayer ceremony, praises to the 21 Taras, the construction of the Mandala, access to all of the conferences, Shamata meditation practice, green Tara initiation, native Mayan music and a fire ceremony.
