Metropolitan Touring Expands into Peru

As part of a longer-term goal to provide an integrated tour service throughout South America, Metropolitan Touring Ecuador, one of the largest tour operators in Ecuador, has acquired Receptour Peru.

Receptour Peru will now sell all tour services under the Metropolitan Touring Peru name. Metropolitan Touring, founded in 1953, specializes in trips to the Galapagos Islands.

To date, Metropolitan Touring operates three ships: the Isabella II, the Santa Cruz and the recently acquired 207-foot, 48-passenger yacht, La Pinta, which will sail its inaugural voyage on March 7.

It also owns the Finch Bay Eco Hotel and Chiva Express Rail & Road programs, both operating in Ecuador.
