Meliá Hotels International to Open Fifth Property in Dusseldorf

After reporting an increase in annual hotel earnings for 2011, Spain-based Meliá Hotels International signed a lease agreement on a fifth hotel in Dusseldorf, which will open its doors in the middle of next year.

The new hotel will be operated by the Innside by Meliá design brand, and will be located inside the Colorium building in the Medienhafen area of the city. The landmark building at Speditionstrasse has 17 levels, with a façade that comprises more than 2,000 glass panels.

The Innside Skybar & Lounge will offer city views while other features of the property will include 134 rooms and two conference rooms.
