Matthew T. Mullan Named General Manager of Hilton Barbados

Hilton Worldwide announced that Matthew T. Mullan has been appointed general manager of the 350-room Hilton Barbados ­surrounded by two white sand beaches on Needham’s Point. Matthew most recently served as cluster general manager, Hilton Sharm El Sheikh ­Egypt and general manager, Hilton Sharks Bay.

With over 20 years of hospitality experience, Matthew joined the industry as a management trainee. Nearly 12 years ago, he jump started his career in hotel management when he took his first general manager role at Hilton Templepatrick Hotel & Country Club in Northern Ireland.

Since then, Matthew has held area general manager roles in the United Kingdom where he was responsible for multi-unit management as well as owner relations. Throughout his career, Matthew also gained significant experience in hotel openings and resort development.

He has participated in several management programs at IMD Lausanne ­ Switzerland, London Business School, and Disney Institute.
