Mango Bay Barbados Reports 89 Percent Occupancy in June 2008

The 76-room, all-inclusive Mango Bay in Barbados expects an 89 percent occupancy level in June 2008, building on a two-year trend where occupancies have steadily increased during this off-season month for travel to the Caribbean.

In the past, Mango had a 60 percent occupancy in June. The occupancy level rose to 75 percent in June 2007; for the same period in 2008 Mango will experience an 89 percent occupancy, a record for that month.

Peter Odle, owner of Mango Bay, attributes the increased off-season June occupancies to various factors including the hotel’s $10 million renovation completed two years ago and the growing appeal of Barbados with its fantastic beaches, diverse activities and sophisticated style.

Another key factor in the resort’s increase in bookings is the quality of its staff, who are on the front line with the guests on a daily basis and make them feel like part of the extended family.
