Lufthansa Extends Stefan Lauer’s Board Appointment
The Lufthansa Supervisory Board has extended the term of Stefan Lauer on the Executive Board for a further five years up to April 30, 2015, with responsibility for the newly restructured Group Airlines and Corporate Human Resources Division.
Mr. Lauer will retain the function of labor director. Lauer will assume responsibility on the Executive Board level on June 1 for the group airlines that do not come under Lufthansa Passenger Airlines and will be charged with furthering inter-airline cooperation between those airlines (Swiss and, in the future, Brussels Airlines, Austrian Airlines and bmi as well as Germanwings, SunExpress and JetBlue).
In addition, he will continue overseeing group-wide human resources. Lauer has been a member of the Lufthansa Executive Board since Aug. 1, 2000, as head of the Aviation Services and Human Resources division.
