LIAT Comes Up with $1 Fares

Regional carrier LIAT has teamed up with the Barbados Tourism Authority (BTA), to encourage travel into Barbados for cricket, offering $1 dollar one-way fares.

The “$1 Cricket Party” promotion new deal, which began midnight on Sunday and runs until February 20, allows travelers from Antigua, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and Trinidad, to visit Barbados to see cricket live for a total return fare of $2 plus applicable taxes.

LIAT’s Chief Commercial Officer, Leesa Parris-Rudder, said the initiative was just one way in which the carrier was making travel more attractive to the consumers, given the current economic downturn.
