Leading Hotels Names Ted Teng New President, CEO
The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. appointed Ted Teng as the organization’s new president and chief executive officer, effective Sept. 1, 2008.
Paul McManus, who currently serves in this role and has for the last 10 years, will remain a board member of Leading Hotels and will also become vice chairman of Leading Ventures, a role that will allow him to remain closely engaged with the ongoing growth and development of the Leading Hotels brand through new business opportunities.
Mr. Teng currently manages his own hotel investment and operations firm, Prime Opus Partners, LP, which he founded in 2006. Prior to that, he was the president and chief operating officer of Wyndham International, Inc. where he oversaw the core branded hotel products, as well as the company’s third-party management operations, comprised of over 200 properties.
Born in Shanghai, he grew up in Hong Kong, emigrated to the United States at age 13, and became a citizen soon after.
