LATAM Airlines Group Opens First of Five New VIP Lounges
Latin American carrier LATAM Airlines Group is continuing an expansion of its routes and services launched last year with the opening of the first of five new VIP lounges to open in 2013 and 2014 at international airports in Miami, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Brazil.
The new VIP lounge, which opened this week at El Dorado Airport in Bogota, Colombia, is the first of five new passenger lounges set for Ezeiza International Airport in Buenos Aires; Comodoro Arturo Merino Benitez Airport in Santiago, Chile; Sao Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport in Sao Paulo, Brazil and Miami International Airport.
The 60,000 square-foot lounges feature business centers are equipped with “state-of-the-art technology” and serve South American-inspired food and beverages.
Passengers traveling in first class, premium business class, and business and premium economy classes, aboard LAN and TAM Airlines enjoy complimentary access to the lounges. Senior members of LATAM’s LANPASS and TAM Fidelidade frequent flyer programs and the oneworld Alliance’s emerald and sapphire categories are also welcome.
The new lounges will continue LATAM’s expansion following the company’s December 2012 merger between LAM Airlines and TAM Airlines, a deal which created Latin Americas largest carrier.
