The largest hotel in Puerto Rico’s Rincon swings gates wide open

Following $16 million worth of investment, the 112-room Rincon of the Seas Grand Caribbean Hotel is now the biggest lodging facility of this coastal municipality of western Puerto Rico.

Owned by H.R. Inc. and with fares ranging from $225 to $475 a night, the brand-new resort will target deep-pocket guests, corporate people and leisure travelers.

“With the opening of this hotel we now count on a kind of resort that’s completely new for Rincon. We can now offer an alternative for guests seeking a high-quality product at a very affordable price,” the hotel’s general manager Arnaldo Ruiz said.

This oceanfront establishment was decked out in the tackiest tropical art deco style by Coralys Colon. According to Mr. Ruiz, the pieces decorating the threshold, restaurant and rooms were specially designed for this hotel.

The 112 rooms include three suites and all accommodations are equipped with TV sets, tuners and high-speed Internet hookup.

As to the name of the resort –Rincon of the Seas Grand Caribbean- the general manager explained it was picked because it stands for the kind of projection intended for Rincon as a world-class tourist destination.
