Kosovo to Form Tourism Association

Kosovo will have its own tourism association with the establishment of the Kosovo Tourist Association (KOTAS) as representatives of different tourist organizations from the region have gathered to form this new organization with the purpose of supporting tourism as the Economic Initiative for Kosova (ECIKS) reported.

KOTAS purpose is to cooperate and coordinate activities with other associations and relevant tourism bodies in and outside Kosovo.

Zeke Ceku from KOTAS said that there was need for wider forum to be created which will treat problems, provide necessary instructions and support the Department of Tourism within the MTI. KOTAS has been established in partnership with the German development agency GTZ. It was welcomed by the Tourist Department within the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI).
