Dubai-based luxury hotel company Jumeirah Group will enter the Caribbean market as the management company for the Botany Bay Resort on the west end of St. Thomas. Facilities will include pools, a spa, restaurants and a beach club.
The Jumeirah Botany Bay Resort, formerly known as the Preserve at Botany Bay, is scheduled to open in 2011. The 400-acre resort will include 84 hotel rooms in nine buildings, 30 timeshares, 30 privately owned villas and 20 estate homes.
Jumeirah has seven luxury hotels and resorts in London, New York and Dubai, including the sail-shaped Burj Al Arab in Dubai.
