Jose Manuel Bisbé York Tapped as Havanatur S.A. New President

José Manuel Bisbé York, who served as Marketing Director with Cuba’s Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) in recent years, has been appointed as new president of the Havanatur S.A. International Group of Tour Operators and Travel Agencies.

Mr. Bisbé York, who will start in his new post of as this Monday, told Caribbean News Digital that his appointment was officially announced last Friday during a dinner to celebrate Havanatur S.A.’s 35th anniversary.

Havanatur, a leading company in Cuba’s incoming tourism and known worldwide as the “Cuban Specialist”, has managed to expand its brand with several tour operator offices in as many as eleven countries.

The company works with over 80 travel agencies scattered in 40 nations out of the Americas, Europe and Asia. Since it foundation, Havanatur has grown steadily in emerging and developing markets with rollouts of new offers and products that target different niches and segments.

The marketing campaign launched this year to mark the company’s 35th anniversary –the motto reads We Keep Growing- reflects Havanatur’s commitment to further diversification and strengthening of its portfolio of products and services, let alone the determination to increase the inflows of Cuba-bound visitors by delivering responsible and sustainable tourism.
