Jose Chapur. New hotel leader of the Mayan Riviera

President of the Palace Resort Group, Jose Chapur Zahoul, was elected chairman of the Mayan Riviera Hotel Association, a post he’ll officially take over next July 28.

In a press interview, Mr. Chapur pointed out his working agenda won’t be limited and some of his top priorities include the support to the Mayan Riviera Airport, the boosting of tourism advertisement and more cooperation among municipal, state and federal authorities.

The new leader of the Mayan Riviera hoteliers averred he won’t resign as Deputy Chairman of the Quintana Roo Hotel Association since it’s not mandatory for him to do so. He made clear he has no plans to merge both organizations together, nor mixing the tourist destinations because each of them has its own virtues and issues to take care of.

Mr. Chapur underscored he’s going to work with and for small-fry hotels, and admitted there’re some projects and efforts that haven’t paid off yet.

The new leadership will also pay heed to the service quality offered to guests and the employees’ social security, two of its most worrisome issues.
