JetBlue Traffic Falls 7.1 Percent in January

JetBlue Airways Corporation reported that its traffic in January decreased 7.1 percent from January 2008, on a capacity decrease of 5.1 percent. Load factor for January 2009 was 74 percent, a decrease of 1.6 points from January 2008.

JetBlue’s preliminary completion factor was 98.4 percent and its on-time performance was 74.7 percent. JetBlue’s preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile for the month of January increased 15 percent year over year.
