Javier Perez is MasterCard’s New President for Latin America

Spanish-born businessman Javier Perez has just been appointed to replace Jean Rozwadowski as MasterCard’s new president for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Mr. Perez, 50, was serving as MasterCard general manager in Europe. From now on, though, he’ll report directly to MasterCard’s President and CEO, Ruth Ann Marshall.

Before jumping on the MasterCard’s bandwagon back in 1996, Mr. Perez served a number of stints for BBVA, especially as chief of banking operations in Latin America, the Southeast United States, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

MasterCard’s new president for Latin America and the Caribbean is a graduate of the Higher School of Corporate Management and has a college degree at Thunderbird University in the U.S.
