Jamaica's Bolt Helps Open Breezes Lane
Six-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt joined the Issa family, owners of SuperClubs, to unveil the Breezes Lane street sign that now marks Breezes Bahamas’ entrance in Nassau’s Cable Beach area.
The Jamaican track star joined Prime Minister Perry Christie, Minister of Tourism Obediah Wilchcombe, SuperClubs Chairman John Issa and other guests for the event. The property is adjacent to the Baha Mar complex scheduled to open in December.
With recent road construction along the Cable Beach strip completed, Breezes Bahamas now sits on a cul-de-sac and is accessible from two entrances. Breezes Lane is open to the public.
The all-inclusive, 391-room Breezes Bahamas, which opened in 1996, recently completed guestroom renovations and upgrades to the lobby/entertainment area, and complimentary in-room and property-wide WiFi was added.
