The Jagua Hotel reopens following a heavy investment process

A standard-bearing tourist establishment of the city of Cienfuegos in central Cuba, the Gran Caribe Jagua Hotel reopened its doors after a megabuck investment process. The four-star lodging facility benefited from $8 million worth of restoration works executed in two stages over a three-year period.

Resort officials pointed out the refurbishment enhanced the number of rooms to 149, including a couple of suites and 147 double rooms, plus an all-out overhaul of the 13 poolside cabanas.

The project also expanded the restaurant –now seating 180 patrons- coupled with improvements in the lobby area with the addition of a bar.

The hotel is equipped with centralized air conditioning to avoid noise, smart lighting and automated fire-alarm sensors.

Penciled in as a city and transit hotel for vacationers, the Jagua counts on France, Germany, Spain, the U.K., the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland among its top tourist-sending countries.
