Interval International, one of the world’s top companies in the hospitality industry, has donated $30,000 to the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s Education Fund with a view to contribute with the CTO’s professional training programs and the granting of scholarships.

Marcos Agostini, the company’s regional director for the Caribbean and Latin America, said his company is proudly stressing its commitment with the growth of the Caribbean region through the organization’s education fund. Mr. Agostini uttered these remarks during the 2003 Caribbean Week in NYC as he handed over the written check to CTO secretary-general Jean Holder.

The CTO is made up of agencies and 32 member states, as well as of countless private companies stationed in the Caribbean Basin. The organization is headquartered in Bridgetown (Barbados) and has affiliated offices in New York, Toronto and London. The CTO’s Education Fund was created in 1997 with an aim to open training opportunities and grant scholarships to tourism professionals in the region.
