International Seawater Therapy Center to Open in Jardines del Rey this Winter

The International Seawater Therapy Center –the only one of its kind in Latin America and the Caribbean- will open later this year in Cayo Coco, Jardines del Rey, an arch of keys off the Cuban province of Ciego de Avila.
The center will combine the simultaneous use of marine environment (air, seawater and climate) and its related elements, such as mud, sands and seaweeds, for therapeutic purposes.
The waters off Cayo Coco –rich in amino acids, vitamins and minerals- are very similar to the organic composition of human blood, a condition that will surely help physicians there come up with good medical upshots.
Located some 350 miles east of Havana, Jardines del Rey offers 3,600 hotel rooms and receives over thirty weekly flights from overseas.
